I am calling to urge you to allocate funding to provide legal representation for immigrants facing deportation. We know that having a lawyer makes a life-changing difference—people with legal representation are 10.5 times more likely to win their case and stay with their families. No one should have to fight deportation alone simply because they cannot afford a lawyer.
